Ranganathan’s philosophy in the context of societal development leading to a knowledge society

Abstract

National and international organizations are evolving various measures, policies, programmes and so on for societal development that will eventually usher in the knowledge society. The paper looks at some such national and international initiatives with Ranganathan's philosophy in the backdrop.
