Synthesis and luminescent properties of red-emitting Ba3-xAl2O6:xEu3+ phosphor
Abstract: Ba3Al2O6:Eu3+ phosphor has been prepared by solid state reaction method. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the phase formation of BaAl2O6:Eu3+ and the doping of Eu3+ did not change the crystal structure. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) image exhibited the irregular morphology of Ba3Al2O6:Eu3+ particles, the particle diameter of the sample is not very uniform, and there is a reunion phenomenon. The photoluminescence excitation (PLE) and emission (PL) spectra were investigated. The fluorescence spectra showed that the fluorescence powder produced by Eu3+ was the highest when the doping concentration of Eu3+ was 9 mol%.
